PANDA (Perinatal Anxiety and Depression Australia) is a national not-for-profit organisation that was formed in Victoria in 1985. It’s estimated 1800 new parents are diagnosed EVERY WEEK with post natal depression and PANDA provides the only specialist national perinatal mental health telephone counselling service, as well as working to reduce the stigma around perinatal anxiety and depression, and providing education services to health professionals and the wider community. With a strong background in community organisations, Terri Smith took on the role of CEO of PANDA in December 2014. She joins us to talk about the signs and treatments available, and how fathers can also be affected.
PLUS Alison Hill talks procrastination.
