Starting something is always a risk. For our guest today, people questioned her, and she questioned herself, when making the decision to leave a secure workplace to start a business from home and become a working mother. She was on the cusp of the new era of work-at-home mums with the very first Virtual Assistant business in the country. Now, under her mentorship, hundreds of women have started their own businesses from home. Currently, an author, speaker and photographer, while still running her business from home, Kathie has been twice nominated for Australian of the year. But, it hasn’t all been easy, with significant family tragedies striking those closest to her. Kathie is insightful, vulnerable and gracious in sharing her story in this episode.

In further discussion, Luke and Susie discuss the challenges of motherhood, as Susie prepares to say goodbye to the twins on their first day of school in just a couple of days.
