Well, the day finally arrived to face head on one of my biggest fears whilst fulfilling my charge to experience something new. My fear: Heights. My new experience: Standing on a glass floor nearly 300 metres above the ground on “The Edge” at the Eureka Skydeck.
The Edge
Well, the day finally arrived to face head on one of my biggest fears whilst fulfilling my charge to experience something new. My fear: Heights. My new experience: Standing on a glass floor nearly 300 metres above the ground on “The Edge” at the Eureka Skydeck.
Lollipops
So, as we entered parenthood, so did many of our friends. Now that the children are at a much more mobile and playful age, we have taken the opportunity to catch up with friends at play centres.
Flying Solo With Baby
Anticipating flying solo with baby, has been one of my biggest mental challenges so far in the “Something Old, Something New” experience.
Gympie Duck Pond
How do three Melbournites find themselves at the Duck Pond in Gympie?
Well, it’s quite a story.
First Birthday Party
A first birthday party as a new adventure? You betcha! It’s certainly something I’ve never done before and that’s the whole point of this challenge – to do something I’ve never done each and every week.
Tasmania
The most decadent of my new adventures by far has to be this one – a day trip to Tasmania. It was Tyson’s very first birthday and our very first trip to Tasmania all in one day.
ANZAC Day Dawn Service
This week’s new experience is one that I was very excited about – attending an ANZAC Day Dawn Service. Though I used to have a job that had me awake at 4am each morning, I have never been to a Dawn Service from memory, and definitely have not attended one in Melbourne.
100% Kylie
Since getting married six-and-a-half years ago, my husband and I have been big fans of marriage and have been deliberate to keep the spark alive. One way that we do this is with regular date nights together. Since Tyson was born, we have been a little slack on making special time for dates outside the home, though we make time every week to have dates at home after Tyson’s gone to bed.
Playdays
In an attempt to engage with my son in my adventures, I decided to centre one around him this week with a trip to a children’s play centre, Playdays.
